December 2, 2021 – Celero has extended its relationship with Fiserv, a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions, with the renewal of its core banking services agreement.
The multi-year agreement builds on an existing 16-year strategic partnership and demonstrates both organizations’ commitment to providing Canadian credit unions with leading technology solutions to support their strategies, such as DNA® from Fiserv, an open, real-time core account processing platform, and other surround solutions. Celero licenses the DNA platform and other Fiserv solutions for over 65 credit unions representing more than 800,000 members.
“In Canada, Celero and Fiserv are the market leaders in providing core banking services to credit unions. Together, we are enabling credit unions to provide reliable, secure and innovative banking services to over a million Canadians every day,” says Tracy Morin, Vice President, Core Banking, Celero.
“The extension of our partnership with Fiserv creates continuity and stability for our clients at a time when the financial services sector is undergoing significant change in digital transformation, payments modernization and positioning to be open banking ready. This renewed agreement serves as a collaborative launch point to deliver new innovations for the credit union system for years to come,” she adds.
Deep Commitment to Innovation
The Celero and Fiserv partnership stems from a shared vision to deliver solutions that enable clients to address the shifting financial needs of today’s consumers and a move to a digital-first society.
Both Celero and Fiserv recognized the opportunity to build on that shared vision and have committed to broadening and extending their relationship beyond core banking services.
“Our continued partnership with Celero strengthens our commitment to the Canadian credit union community,” said Rob Palin, general manager, Canada, Fiserv. “We’re proud to offer an ecosystem of solutions that Canadian financial institutions of any size can rely on as they grow and evolve.”
